Release notes¶
Each version uses the same sections (New, Fixes, Improvements, API when needed).
1.16.1¶
New¶
- Update access tokens (more providers) — GitHub, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and generic Git remotes can replace their stored token from Settings → Integrations (paste a new token; no provider rotation API).
Fixes¶
- New variable form — Adding a variable no longer prefills the form with the last one you saved.
- MCP on self-hosted instances — OAuth issuer and MCP URLs follow
instance.public_urlinstead of being hardcoded to panel.qaack.cloud.
Improvements¶
- TTL presets — Duration presets are a segmented toggle.
- Webhook settings — Options grey out when every trigger is off.
API¶
- New —
POST /repository/{repoID}with actionupdateTokenis accepted forgithub, azure, bitbucket, andgeneric(action.argsis the token string). GitLab already supportedupdateTokenandrotateToken.
1.16.0¶
New¶
- Quick actions per site — Actions that do not use
[[ .Alias.Name ]]or[[ .Alias.URI ]]run once for the environment and stay on the top level of the menu. Only alias-aware actions get a site submenu. default_alias— Names the environment's own site next to its aliases, and is the value of[[ .Alias.Name ]]for actions run there (defaultwhen unset).
Fixes¶
- TTL when none is set — Enabling TTL defaults to the repository TTL, or a week when the repository has none. Save stays disabled if the duration is blank or 0.
- Scheduled rebuild hour — The hour is sent only when it is a valid
HH:MM. Turning the schedule on starts at 03:00. - Settings save feedback — The spinner and errors stay on the card you saved, instead of every settings card.
- Environment TTL drawer — Saving no longer reloads the whole page.
Improvements¶
- Settings switches — TTL, scheduled rebuild, and the IP allowlist turn off with a switch and grey out while off. Scheduled rebuild's old
disabledmode is that switch. - Mode dropdowns — Scheduled rebuild and qaackfile mode explain each option in the dropdown.
- TTL durations — Repository settings, environment create/clone, and the environment TTL drawer share day / week / month presets, plus Custom for an exact number of minutes. The repository default is shown under the durations and selected when it matches one of them.
1.15.0¶
New¶
- Member and maintainer search — When you add group members or repository maintainers, the panel suggests existing users on your instance (name or email).
- Smarter quick-action downloads — Quick actions can use
filenamewith the same templating ascommand, so downloads can be named after the site alias (one action works across environments). - Change TTL after create — Click the TTL label on an environment to extend time, shorten it, or turn off auto-deletion (“no expiry”).
Fixes¶
- Link quick actions — URLs from
linkoutput no longer get a stray leading character (e.g.thttps://…). - Quick action names — Keys with spaces or special characters work because names are URL-encoded in API calls.
1.14.0¶
New¶
- Repository maintainers — Grant a group member admin on a single repo (settings, variables, registries) without making them group admin. Assign under Repository settings → Security & Access.
- Transfer repositories — Owners/admins of both groups can move a repository. If some maintainers are not in the destination group, you choose to invite them or drop them.
- Astro qaackfile template — Spawn Astro apps with
qaack/node24-pm2on port 4321 (npm run preview). - GitLab bot avatar — Qaack comments on merge requests show the Qaack logo.
Fixes¶
- Lighthouse on ephemeral envs — Skips
is-crawlableandrobots-txtaudits that fail on short-lived URLs. - MCP in production — Static assets are bundled so the MCP server serves correctly from the core image.
Improvements¶
- Reusable delete — Deleting a reusable environment requires group Owner/Admin or a repository maintainer (previously any group member could).
- Delete group — Confirmation requires typing the group name.
- Lighthouse grading — Tests ignore robots exclusion so default qaack env behavior does not skew scores.
1.11.0¶
New¶
- Rebuild reusable sources — Base environments that generate reusables have a button to trigger a build of the environment that created them.
- Group roles — Clear split between admins/owners and members (who can add members, create/delete repos, etc.).
- Groups — Create groups and rename existing ones.
- Create repository — Improved form and qaackfile editor with templates (tests, quick actions, and other blocks pre-configured).
- Service terminals in a drawer — Use the service console without opening a new tab.
- Build logs from the env list — Open build logs from the dropdown on an environment row (drawer).
- Launch secondary services — Non-default services that expose a port can be opened from the UI with a launch icon.
Improvements¶
- Sorting, pagination, performance, and more consistent UI across the panel.
