Build (repository settings)

Open the repository → Settings → Build.

The Build tab covers the Qaackfile, default TTL for new environments, and scheduled rebuilds.

Qaackfile

The Qaackfile (qaack.yml) defines services, tests, variables, and build steps for environments. Full schema: Qaack file specification.

On create

When the source is panel or both, the repository form includes a Qaack File editor. Start from a template (Generic, React, Next.js, Astro, Drupal 10, Python, and more) and use the helpers — + Service, + Variable, + Test, + Quick action, + Aliases, + Reusable — to insert snippets instead of writing the YAML from scratch.

See Create a repository.

Source mode and editor

Choose where Qaack reads qaack.yml: panel, repo (/.qaack/qaack.yml on the git ref), or both (repo wins when the file exists). See Qaackfile mode.

When the mode includes the panel file, the Build tab shows the same editor as on create — templates and + Service / + Variable / + Test / + Quick action / + Aliases / + Reusable helpers.

Behavior and templating: Environment concept — Qaackfile.

Default TTL

Time after which a new environment from this repo is automatically deleted, counted from creation. Use the day / week / month presets or a custom value.

Default TTL applies at create time. Per-environment TTL can be changed later — see Environment TTL.

Concept: Time to life.

Scheduled rebuild

Rebuild environments on a daily schedule. Modes:

  • Disabled — no scheduled rebuild
  • Reusables — rebuild environments that generated a reusable
  • Reusing — rebuild environments that are currently reusing a reusable
  • All — rebuild every created/built environment on this repo

Details: Scheduled rebuilds.
